Satalyst Tracker at Tour Down Under

Awesome innovation from Satalyst brings live race data to spectators at the 2016 Santos Tour Down Under.

Riders from Drapac Professional Cycling, an Australian UCI Professional Continental cycling team, are carrying android mobile phones with the Satalyst Tracker app when competing in the Tour Down Under.  The app is paired with sensors from the riders’ bikes and with their heart rate monitors.  Using technology from the Microsoft IoT suite, the data is collected, sorted and analysed for live streaming on the Channel 9 TV and web broadcast of the 2016 Santos Tour Down Under. The data gives commentators live and relevant information to share with spectators about the riders’ race performance including power, heart rate, and cadence.
